Polish small and medium enterprises still consider IT to be one of the main ways to improve their competitiveness. Construction, manufacturing and trade companies invest in IT solution wanting to prepare themselves better for new conditions and demanding market.

“Everything shows that this new reality will stay with us for a long time. Returning to high economic growth will surely take us a little longer that we expected a few months ago. From the point of view of entrepreneurs it seems that the only solution is to be prepared for activity on definitely more demanding market" - said Grzegorz Rogaliński, SAP Poland President.

Sale results of systems dedicated to SME indicate that this opinion is shared by customers as well. During the last 6 months licenses for SAP Business One ERP system, dedicated to small and medium enterprises, were purchased by 65 companies, 44 of which are new SAP customers. It clearly indicates that in more difficult market conditions entrepreneurs turn to SAP as a trusted business partner.

This fact is also confirmed by customers themselves:

“Current conditions are a test for companies. Only these companies which improve their functioning mechanisms in time will remain on the market. We chose the SAP Business One system, because we were able to quickly and flexibly tailor its features to our needs. Intuitive user interface played also an important role – thanks to it we did not have to train our users and we were able to quickly gain benefits from this solution. Implementation duration was also a very important factor for us - our implementation partner, Soft-Team company, also made the grade" - said Marcin Klosa, Director at Betonex company.

Representatives of Polish branch of Vandemoortele company – a Belgian manufacturer of edible oils, bread and soy food – appreciated first of all a long reference list for SAP Business One.

“We have opted for a proven solution implemented by an experienced partner. With such a demanding market we cannot afford long, unsuccessful implementation projects. We need a system which will be ready to use in a short period of time. This is a seemingly obvious requirement, but few suppliers are able to present as long reference list as was presented by SAP. Altab company was recommended to us by experts from Belgian SAP department. We are happy with this choice – we worked with experienced professionals, who successfully implemented SAP Business One and allowed us to quickly gain tangible benefits." - said Herman Vyncke, project manager of the Vandemoortele.

What qualities of the system, apart from its flexibility and quality confirmed by references, earn trust of Polish entrepreneurs? Many of them are looking for a solution which will cover majority of a company’s business processes and will support handling of whole business processes.

“In 2008 we finished the implementation of SAP Business One in the area of sale and purchase, warehousing management and manufacturing. In order to minimize cost of regular cooperation with an external accounting company, at the beginning of 2009  we decided to implement the financial module as well. Having such a feature at our disposal will facilitate access to financial statements and improve reporting process" - said Agnieszka Wierzchowska, the owner of Ayala company, which manufactures and sales office furniture and furniture for barbershops.

SUPREMIS company, SAP Gold Partner, is responsible for the implementation at Ayala.
