PARP competitionOn 20 October, at the Nationwide e-Business Forum, the competition of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) for the most innovative B2B technology came to an end. The competition was granted a honorary patronage by the Minister of the Interior and Administration. The winners were selected only from companies funding the implementation of B2B platform within the framework of 8.2 POIG. The competition jury recognized the solution allowing to design kitchen furniture sets and visualize them in three-dimensions as the most innovative. Another opportunity for funding e-business from the European Union funds and winning PARP competition will take place next year. The winning project will be launched shortly.
Success factors, namely 100% flexibility and comprehensibilityWhy did this particular B2B technology win? The main idea was to implement an Internet user friendly technology which could comprehensibly handle the whole sales process characteristic of the furniture sector. An Internet user can access the platform 24/7. In order to design a furniture set and then see its every single detail while walking around a virtual kitchen all that is needed is a computer with the Internet access and a web browser. Finished designs can be then calculated and order via B2B platform. Tide Software company made all the efforts so that the mechanisms are easy to use. One can say that a user is lead by hand along the process of designing and ordering the furniture. New trends in e-business“Three-dimensional visualization is the future of e-business. This new trend is already visible on the Internet. The examples include: SecondLife, Microsoft Silverlight technology or Google SketchUp. The trend was also noticed by the Jury of PARP competition and the participants of the Nationwide E-Business Forum. I shall also add that as a producer of this innovative B2B platform and a 3D visualization mechanism I predict these solutions will be employed in other sectors in the foreseeable future. Quick spreading of on-line three-dimensional visualizations is supported by the fact that it is a tool allowing to conduct the effective marketing action of merchandising. An on-line store we can walk around? Practically, that’s a fact.” - assures Tomasz Michalski, Tide Software President.
